Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 3 Episode 9 – The Girl Who Flew To The Top

We’re halfway through the season and with six girls still vying for the title of Asia’s Next Top Model, emotions are definitely running high. Right Gani???

So after KB’s elimination last week, Gani find it unfair that Amanda get to stay over the Hong Kong rep citing Amanda’s third time trip at the bottom. Yup, that’s Gani people eversince the Close-up photoshoot where she was pitted against Monika for the Best Photo. She became the girl who bitched the most. And Tahlia – yeah, yeah – you get the drift people.

For the challenge, the girls had a sparring session with Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion, Bruno Pucci – and oohhyeahhh. Barbara’s all over the guy and won the challenge for being so focused. LOL

At the shoot, the girls wore gowns by resident judge Alex Perry and can I just say how amazing they are??!!! Arrgghh and the concept of the shoot was amazzzzzziiinnng!

At panel, after a few of not so great weeks – Amanda finally got the praises of everyone! Well deserved girl!!! I’d say this was her second best photo IMO next to the first episode.

Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 3 – Episode 8 The Girl on a Mission

The result of this episode was almost predictable but it’s still fun to see how Melissa’s (shocking!!!!!) elimination stirred some animosity between the girls.

Gani’s confessions are fun to watch because she’s such a catty diva!!! She really isn’t holding back during confessions. Aimee’s not that happy Melissa went home over Tahlia (ditto girl)

At the challenge, the girls were asked to recreate runway hair trends with Monika impressing Tresemmé stylist Giovanni Wihayak and Gani struggling to recreated her assigned look. This was an important challenge though because the girl who wins this will have an immunity from elimination and that is none other than Monika.

Tahlia also had some health concerns concerning breast lumps which was really worrying because her mom and granny passed away from breast cancer. 😦

At the photoshoot, the girls showcased their hair while wearing creations by Filipino designer Rajo Laurel (beautiful creations btw!)

The rest of the girls received unanimous praises from the panel save for KB and Amanda.

Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 3 Episode 7 Photoshoot – The Girl Who Finally Cracks

This week’s episode left me reeling after one of my favorite models in any cycle of this franchise was ousted!!! Ouch!!!!

Things are heating up between Monika and Gani (unknowingly yeah? lols). The filipina model who landed at the bottom last week also patch things up with Tahlia which I’m not quite convinced from both sides tbh.

At the ridiculous very top model posing challenge with a hoola hoop, my dear, dear Melissa totally killed it  – lol – so crazy but so cute!!!

At the shoot, a big prize is up for grabs because the numero uno girl in said shot will be the new ambassador of Subaru – whew! pretty big!!!

During the shoot, Gani was okay but I’m starting to rethink my opinion about her. Amanda’s doing great IMO minus her blinking problems. Barbara was amazing so as Monika – yeah – what a revenge right??? This is Aimee’s worst shot IMO and Tahlia was just there – mediocre at best. And my dear Melissa ohlawd!

Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 3 Episode 6 – The Girl Who Ran Out Of Luck

This week’s episode was rather uneventful. Eight girls are still in the competition and as per usual, the girls are feeling the pressure and started really throwing shades at each other *cough* tahlia *cough* gani *cough*

As for the challenge, they would have to work as a pair and style themselves with each pair getting a fashion theme.

The winner of this week’s challenge was Tahlia who donned a boho look with Aimee and as for her prize, she was given extra five minutes for the next photoshoot and was then asked to  take five minutes from any of her competition and surprise! surprise! She chose Monika citing the latter’s success from the last two elimination. Unfortunately for Tahlia, it didn’t really work in her favor at all.

GaniGani looks amazing! That jaw! Gawd! Asian fierceness at its finest baby! Commercially Fierce!

AmandaAmanda’s still struggling keeping her eyes open. Ugh, baby A – what’s happening? I honestly loved the results though so boohoo judges!!! I thought her looks are to die for! >_<

AimeeI loved Aimee’s looks the most but I’m kinda distracted with the bangs…uhhmm no. Just no.

BarbaraBarbara looks her age in this shoot. Really, not a good thing. She’s no Jessica after all so she really needs to work on that. This was a bad week for her. Plus that attitude – tons of girls will kill for that spot baby! ugh

MonikaMonika’s having a hard time due to the time constraint but I thought she did okay although her shots are really mediocre. I’m kinda 50% agreeing with
Tahlia about her though. Plus there’s something too studied about her. Sorry boo.

KBKB was wonderful but I’m not really feeling much from her.

MelissaI love Melissa and she’s still one of my favorites in the competition but this is playing safe from her. Gotta agree with the judges though, this was more editorial than commercial! Cmon’ girl you gotta keep it up!

TahliaTahlia’s shots as I mentioned were okay but I’m not really loving the catty attitude.

After a shocking elimination from the last panel, the nine girls left are feeling the heat of the competition!

In this episode, the girl went on to an actin class with Indonesian TV Personality Daniel Mananta.

At the challenge, Barbara easily won the challenge having the “perfect selfie” – I mean I loved Barbara but…poor Amanda’s struggling though – at the workshop and the challenge. It must be the age? Hhmm Nah.

The photoshoot was for the show’s sponsor, Close-up and the best photo will win a campaign from said sponsor. At the shoot, I though Aimee did the best but the end result wasn’t that impressive IMO.And Melissa’s totally shining!!!! I just loved her! The rest of the girls are too studied If I’m being honest. Based on the shoot alone, I’d give the FCO to either Melissa or Monika.

Asia’s Next Top Model Season 3 Episode 4: Shanghai Beauty Photoshoot

At this week’s episode, Loretta found herself bouncing back from the bottom pit of last week’s elimination barely surviving the cut by winning the make-up challenge. A challenge win she shared with fellow contestant from Hong Kong, KB.

For their photoshoot, the girls will have to impress the judges by igniting romance out of their shoot with  a partner – a male model that is!

This week first call out was given to Monika  – although not my most favorite photo in the bunch, I thought it was at least in the top three. That’s just for me though. I just really loved Amanda’s shot!

Asia’s Next Top Model Season 3 Episode 3 – Makeovers and Photoshoot

The episode this week was all about transformation, attitude and lots of tears from girls who are more worried with their hair than staying one more week in the competition.

My personal favorite transformation are from Melissa, Aimee and Chesca – gah – Melissa’s exceptionally gorgeous this episode I feel like she should just get the title this early…LOL but yeah – we’ll have to wait and see…

At the photoshoot, the girls wore diamonds – some of them were like diamonds in the sky and some simply couldn’t make the cut.

Asia’s Next Top Model Season 3 Episode 2 – The Girl With K-POP Fever!

This season’s second episode got all K-POP on us with the girls posing in groups trying to outshine each other while donning colorful and vibrant K-pop ensemble.

As for their challenge, the girls did their best to impressed by dancing K-POP style which consequently won by the trio of Aimee Bradshaw, Franchesca Lagua and Melissa Tan.

During the photoshoot, the girls were group into four where they will be posing as Korean Pop singers. Pretty neat concept If I may say but the end result – not really digging them but I gotta say Melissa’s group totally nailed this shoot!!! Special mention to Melissa – she’s bringing that K-POP attitude in the pose! Just amazing!!!

Asia’s Next Top Model Season 3 – Episode 1 Photoshoot (The Girl In A Spin)

Bias aside, I think Amanda totally killed this shoot! I’m so in love with it!!!!

The first episode saw the the fourteen lucky hopefuls settled into their new house. They then meet with host Georgina and fellow judge Joey to evaluate their runway walk which will be part of their very first challenge. As per Top Model outrageous tradition, the girls were asked to walk the runway with a turn table at the end. Barbara (JPN) won the runway challenge although the judges were unanimous about Monika’s runway prowess. (just gotta get that out yeah? home girl and all LOL) Their first shoot was a swimsuit shoot where the youngest contestant Amanda from the Philippines easily stood out from the rest along with Barbara and Monika. Meanwhile, Shareeta (so gorg btw) struggled so much which led to her untimely demise on the show >a bit extreme I know< but I really loved the girl and thought that she’d go so far!!!! Too bad really!!!

Asia's Next Top Model S3After the highly successful first two season of Asia’s Next Top Model – the region is yet again searching for the new face of said show. Last year, Liam Yee Sheen better known as Sheena from Malaysia was awarded the title amidst tremendous backlash from Pinoy netizens. Right now though, all is well and dandy and with Filipina top model/endorser Georgina Wilson spearheading this season replacing last year’s host Nadya Hutagalung and will also judge along with with third time judge Joey Mead-King and Australia’s Next Top Model resident judge and fashion designer, Alex Perry.
