Here we are again giving out the honors for our Best Dressed List in this year’s Screen Actors Guild Awards! First off, I just want to say how crazy beautiful our top 10 for this year are and it’s just way too difficult to choose the Ultimate Best Dressed  but I think we’d get it covered by the time we finish this post!

10. I’m quite a big fan of Glee’s Dianna Agron‘s beauty and this ruffled Carolina Herrera dress looked so feminine as ever in her! I just love it!

9. The Big Bang Theory starlet Kaley Cuoco in a strapless mint Romona Keveza gown – she just look amazing in this number!

8. I usually don’t care about Ashlee Simpson eversince her SNL fiasco but this Jenny Packham number is undeniably pretty! Good job this time little Miss Simpson!

7. I love muted colors and Julianna Margulies very much carry this Calvin Klein dress with just the right elegance! Bravo!

6. Emma Stone’s my number pick during the Golden Globes and this time, she’s almost halfway there with this Alexander McQueen’s dress that screams 50’s! I love her style!!!!

 5. Sofia Vergara – it’s not as epic as her Vera Wang dress at the Globes, Sofia still brings magic to this Marchesa gown that elongates her perfect body even more!

4. Jessica Chastain in a cerulian blue Calvin Klein blue stood out from the crowd the second time around after her Givenchy number at the Globe! Well done Jess!

3. Rose Byrne was just incredible tonight in this Elie Saab dress while sporting a bob! You got me Rose!

and the ultimate best dressed of the night goes to none other than…

the uber-talented and red carpet diva Lea Michele! This uber-sexy Versace number from Lea just sealed her spot as the ultimate diva in the red carpet! Well done hun’ !!!!!

iWhite Nose Pack Whiteheads And Blackheads Remover Review

For years now, I’ve been trying different products to eliminate my blackheads that cause me too much discomfort as the years go by. I mean, it’s not really that big of a deal – it’s just annoying at times because I tend to get irritated whenever I see whiteheads / blackheads populating my nose.

I’ve read about iWhite last year and thought that this would be another one of those products I’ve tried before. Then, a friend at my new job told me that she actually tried it and it kinda works for her so that convinced me to try the product myself.

iWhite Nose Pack  is made in Korea that uses ingredients like mulberry root extract, panax ginseng root extract, aloe vera leaf extract, vitamins A,C and E and a lot of other ingredients. I bought mine at Watsons for P189 that according to the sales lady would last for like a month which is not so bad. She’s even trying to sell me the iWhite facial wash and moisturizer (?) but I thought of buying the nose pack first since I’m not even sure if it’s going to work. (and I’m using another brand of facial wash and moisturizer)

When I opened it – it kinda smelled like glue (yeah, like the Elmer’s Glue) – and the texture of the cream was also glue-like although iWhite‘s thicker. It’s tolerable though and when I applied it, it feels kinda weird because the smell became stronger  obviously because of where I’m applying it.

According to the product’s direction, I have to wait 15 minutes for it to dry before peeling it upwards. Peeling it was just okay – very easy and doesn’t cause any pain at all – unless you are really that sensitive.

The results? I would like to think that it’s one of the better products that I’ve tried in years since I immediately saw some blackheads when I peeled it off  -it won’t remove most of your blackheads at once since you gotta do it 2-4 times for best results. I’ve been using it for like a month now but mostly just about twice a week and it was okay I guess. For 189 pesos, it’s doing its job and I’m pretty satisfied with it. I would still go to facial spa’s but I won’t mind buying iWhite again.

Cindy Crawford’s Daughter Kaia Gerber For Young Versace

Former supermodel Cindy Crawford’s daughter Kaia Jordan Gerber made her modeling debut for the first ad campaign of ©Young Versace.

10-year old Kaia without question has inherited her Mom’s supermodel genes posing confidently for the designer’s line that will cater to children up to 12 years old! I personally think that she’s got this all-american sweetheart thingy going like her mom and I won’t mind seeing her on the cover of Vogue or any fashion magazines anytime soon! (although I still find her a wee bit too young)

Mom Cindy also used to be a muse for the late designer Gianni Versace.

Will she be Cindy C V2 without the mole? I’d say….ooohh yeah!

The 666 Victory Of Venezuela In The World Of Pageantry!

This year brought a devilishly sweet victory for Venezuela in the world of pageantry as they have accomplished a 666 victory from the three oldest and well-known beauty pageants in the world.

Ivian Sarcos who won the recently concluded Miss World beauty pageant in London was the country’s sixth win from the oldest pageant in the world. They had their first win back in 1955 when Susana Duijm became the first Venezuelan to win the title. It was followed by Pilin Leon after 26 years in 1981, the same year the country won the Miss Universe title by Irene Sáez who is also known for running the 1998 Presidency of her country.

Two years after this double victory, Astrid Carolina Herrera Irrazabal clinched the title back. In a period of five years from 1991-1995, two Venezuelans were crowned Miss World as Ninibeth Beatriz Leal Jiménez and Jacqueline Aguilera bagged the title in the 1991 and 1995 edition respectively. The country waited for 15 years to get their sixth title in which the 19-year old Ivian Sarcos successfully snagged from 112 other delegates!

At the Miss Universe pageant, who could forget the historical back-to-back win of the country in 2008 and 2009 when Dayana Mendoza crowned her fellow Venezuelan Stefania Fernandez in Bahamas.

It was in 1979 though, when the country got their first win when 18-year old Maritza Sayalero was crowned Miss Universe in Australia. Moreover, just after a year gap, Irene Saez won the crown followed by Bárbara Palacios Teyde in 1986 who won the title in Panama. In 1996 Alicia Machado dominated the pageant in Las Vegas. And then the historical back-to-back win happened that gave them their fifth and sixth win making them second winningest country in the pageant just after the United States with seven wins.

In Miss International, they held the true power as they have the most wins by far having successfully fielded six wins since 1985, a good 25 years since the pageant was created in Long Beach, California. It was Alejandrina “Nina” Sicilia Hernandez who bagged the first title for the country in the fall of 1985. After over a decade, Consuelo Adler brought the crown back to Venezuela.

The dawn of the new millennium was a good showing for the country in this pageant as they bagged four wins in its first decade. Vivian Urdaneta won the crown in 2000 followed by Goizeder Azúa in 2003. They got the crown back in 2006 proudly worn by Daniela Di Giacomo and just last year, Elizabeth Mosquera became the sixth winner of the top prize besting out 69 other candidates – the biggest turn out in the history of the competition.

Some of you may believe in 666 as the Number Of The Beast, I however don’t want to imply any negativity about these numbers in relation to these women. I merely want to express my admiration for these women who have achieved great feats in these three pageants that simply imply that they are the beast when it comes to the world of beauty pageantry!

Viva Venezuela!
