A successful Korean-American man finds himself stuck in Columbus, Indiana, where his estranged architect father is in a coma. The man meets a young woman who plans to stay in Columbus with her mother, a recovering addict, instead of pursuing her own dreams. Together, the two explore the various architectural buildings in Columbus, all the while discovering in each other what they hope to be.
This is one of those instances where I’ve expected too much from a film because of its rave reviews but end up getting oh-so disappointed that getting through the whole 104 minutes of it almost felt like a chore. I mean, it’s not that long so I decided to just get over it while wasting away my time commuting to work.
The whole thing just felt contrived. The dialogues, the very in-your face frame by frame Architectural landmarks which I totally get but felt a bit too much, and the disjointed feel of the whole story. I didn’t see chemistry between Casey (Richardson) and Jin (Cho) and I wasn’t even looking for a romantic chemistry.
To end this, I thought the whole script was just weak or what I will call in books having a thinly veiled plot with very stiff characters. Or maybe Kogonada’s style isn’t just for me.

The Avengers and their allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.
I was not supposed to watch this. I was thinking that I won’t be able to fully understand the story because I haven’t watch the most recent Marvel films prior to this and I’m not a Marvel fanboy to begin with. But yeah, it is the only available flick that coincides with my schedule so I decided to check what the ‘hype’ really is all about.
The movie boasted grand and scenic special effects, is action-packed and most importantly, it wasn’t boring. See, it’s more than two hours and the film was able to sustain the excitement from start up to the end-credits. The great thing about watching it on IMAX 3D is that it feels like you’re part of each scene yourself. I just noticed that the 3D effect isn’t as crisp as I expected it to be. There are parts of the film that they may have forgotten to convert into 3D.
I’ve to praise the wonderful casting as well. I mean, we’ve known most of them from their individual films but you cannot deny the great chemistry between these bevy of A-listers and B-list celebs.
The story kind of make sense in a way that it connects the individual movie installments and it also makes you want to watch them again because each one did their job wonderfully.
I am really excited to watch what will happen next. And no, I won’t be reading its comics or the Avengers wiki-page. I think I could wait for the 2019 release of the next film.

Yesterday was the opening of the Costume Institute Gala’s annual fashion exhibit with the theme Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. Now, this one was still a very exciting read! I loved that we are learning more about the royal family and the development of Edward and Percy’s relationship tho, quick was very much believable.
This one didn’t disappoint one bit when it comes to the progression of the story because as we go along, there are a lot of things happening in it. We also get to know more about Reynard – Mason’s ‘bestfriend’ / Percy’s bodyguard. I just loved all the alpha males in this series! They’re just so sexy!
I also loved how this story felt like a throwback what with all the royal talks but since it’s set in the future – the uniqueness of its storyline is still as fascinating as its first installment.
This is definitely a must-read!

I’ve read this in 2015 and have been rereading it since. This is definitely my favorite MPREG series, as well as one of my favorite series’ in general from the MM genre.
Its futuristic set up where male and female clones are created mainly for breeding and sex slavery was a bit disturbing but very fascinating plot-wise.
I absolutely adore Percy! The whole thing about his character will make you feel what Prince Edward felt for him from the very start. Like Edward, I just want to hug him forever and keep him safe!
I loved the conflict involving the King and the Heritage House. It was very interesting and it makes you involved. I just know that by the end of the story, I was totally rooting for Percy and Edward – I just want everything for them to work out wonderfully.
I so recommend this book for anyone who has not read an MPREG book before.

Let me start this review by saying this is definitely one of the best series’ I’ve read in years and let me tell you that I’ve read a lot of them from different genre.
The Raven King as the series’ last installment is a fitting conclusion but it’s definitely far from being over. Now, this is a good thing I think. We’re given a very thick plot that will leave us yearning for more. Some readers may find that off-putting but I am actually satisfied with the way the author ended their quest. Their whole journey also felt longer because of everything that has happened since Blue and the Raven boys laid eyes upon each other.
I think the best thing about this last book and the series in general is its character development. In such a short span of time, as per the series’ timeline, we got to know a lot of characters aside from Gansey, Ronan, Adam, Noah and Blue. The most interesting for me would have to be Mr. Gray – I just loved him. Such a fascinating character since his appearance in The Dream Thieves. I’d definitely read a standalone story about him.
Now, I’ve read some reviews stating they find the ending a bit rushed which I tend to agree to some degree but I do think that it doesn’t lessen the fact that it is still a good ending. That conclusion is basically begging for another book, another story involving our main characters.
I’d love to read more from these guys especially about their lives after Glendower. Will Blue be able to travel the world? Will Gansey become the politician he was groomed to be? Will they end up together? Will Ronan and Adam stay together and all that stuff… Just a lot of possibilities.
I cannot recommend this series high enough!

am not a fan of this third book. The whole thing was just devoid of vibrancy. See, I loved the idea of the Red and Silver bloods and Aveyard’s world-building was awesome but this was just boring for the most part.
Here, the focus was on the characters. Here are my thoughts about them or atleast my thoughts about the important ones.
Mare – I loved her the most out of all the characters. I actually do not find her annoying or whiny at all. My problem is that her thoughts are all repetitive. It’s like the author kept prolonging everything thus the need for repetition.
Cal & Maven – Ugh. I don’t really like them. They’re almost the same if you think about it. Although I’ve to say that Maven’s character is more dynamic than Cal. Cal was just freaking annoying and I’m just hoping that he’ll get a gruesome death in the final installment.
Cameron – I don’t see why she needs to have her own POV in the book. She’s selfish and annoying af.
Evangeline – Now, this angle is quite surprising. I loved that Aveyard incorporated this sub-plot in the series. She did get my sympathy in this book and I loved how she was paired with an equally powerful silver.
Farley – I also loved her character but we didn’t get much from of her in this book. Boo!
Kilorn – I loved this boy but sadly, it’s looking like he’s going to be one of the casualties in the finale. Sad, really.
Now, I didn’t even realized that Calore’s granny was still alive. What an evil bitch. I want her to join his grandson getting that gruesome ending, tbh.
Okay, enough of the ranting. This is a fail follow-up for me but since I am so invested with the story already, I’d still very much wait for the release of the fourth and final book next month!!!

This isn’t my favorite in the series but that’s not to say that I didn’t enjoy it. I’ve actually read it a bit too fast I think, to get to the final installment right away. Here, we get more of Blue’s POV which absolutely delighted me because we learned about her growing feelings towards her Raven boysshe was finally finding her own voice being a conduit of energy and all!
Aside from Blue, we also see the boys here maturing emotionally and psychologically, to think that everything here happens only in a year’s time. It’s maybe because they’ve gotten into deep in searching for the Welsh King. It’s weird how they’re all so worshipful of Gansey. I loved how the author portrayed Gansey as someone that is up there for the rest of the guys to look up to. What an odd, engaging and irresistable character!
There are also a number of funny scenes here involving Mr. Gray’s former employer Colin Greenmantle, his wife Piper and of course, the banter between our main characters especially between Ronan and Adam. I just loved the development in their relationship. It made me like Adam and made me love Ronan even more!
The whole search for the sleeping King was getting intense with evil, undesirable creatures getting in the way and I loved that as we get closer in solving the “mystery,” the author was still able to give us pleasant what ifs in case said King is non-existent or if some characters will die for waking it up.
This is another blockbuster writing from the author. It’s definitely one of the best YA series out there.
