There’s A New Moss In Town: Kate’s Little Sis!

Having THE Kate Moss as a sister has its many perks.  Ask Lottie Moss, Kate’s younger half-sister who just signed with Storm Models – the same agency of her superfamous sister. Lottie just turned 16 a couple of days ago and her first appearance as a “signed model” was through a picture with a “Happy Birthday” message posted by her agency’s twitter account.

Lottie MossThe equally gorge little Lottie stands 5’5″ –  shorter than her 5’7″ – 5’8″ supermodel Sis but she’s got the Moss genes so expect her to turn up sooner in fashion magazines and perhaps the runways…

Bound to be a collector’s item immediately after its release, THE British-born supermodel Kate Moss appears in the cover of the 60th Anniversary edition of Playboy Magazine. I know this has been around earlier this month and I keep on delaying writing something about. Anyways, it’s the magnificent Kate Moss – the icon herself and we’re lucky that we now live in a digital world that we could see almost every shots she did in this edition!

Vogue as we all know is the bible of fashion and we just love how it elevates fashion into art! 10. Vogue Italia April 2010 With Amber Valleta – it looks a wee bit dated but stunning at the same time and we just can’t stop looking at it!

9. Vogue Germany May 2010 With Victoria Beckham shot by Alexi Lubomirski. – She look fantastic here, she look soft and vulnerable and it’s just the best that we’ve seen her!

8. Vogue Paris March 2010 With Rose Cordero – a black girl for like forever! Her moment has arrived and we are so loving this stunning cover!

7. Vogue Turkey March 2010 Maiden Issue with Jessica Stam shot by Patrick Demarchelier – What a great profile from Miss Stam and THE Demarchelier is just genius. Great start for the Turkish edition!

6.Vogue Italia May 2010  Daria Strokous and Kirsi Pyrhonen by Steven Meisel – The energy of this shot is so high, we could feel it oozing out from this cover,tbh.

5. Vogue Germany December 2010 With Edita Vilkeviciute -the red theme is perfect and so as her face which we’re so inlove with right at this very month of Christmas!

4.Vogue UK November 2010 With Lara Stone shot by Alasdair McLellan – Lara just put a spell on us and we’re forever bewitched by those gap-tooth!

Vogue’s Best Dressed of 2010

US Vogue once again named their 10 Best Dressed of the Year with a special edition supplement featuring the Gossip Girl star Blake Lively on the cover shot by Mr. Patrick Demarchelier.  Lively just graced the magazine’s cover June of this year.

In Focus: Marc Jacobs

At a young age of 15, Jacobs already worked as a stockboy at Charivari, a clothing botique in New York City. He then studied at Parsons The New School for Design which gave him accolades such as the Perry Ellis Gold Thimble Award, Chester Weinberg Gold Thimble Award and Design Student of the Year Award –all in the same year of 1984.

Jacobs designed his first collection for Reuben Thomas, Inc., and eventually began designing for Perry Ellis after the demise of its founder. In 1986, he designed his first collection bearing the Marc Jacobs label and the following year was awarded the Perry Ellis Award for New Fashion Talent, which is the fashion industry’s highest tribute given by The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA)

1997 was the year when Jacobs was appointed Creative Director of luxury French fashion house, Louis Vuitton creating the company’s first ready-to-wear line.

In April 2010, Jacobs was included in  TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World.

Her Fashion Muses includes celebrity designer-fashionista Victoria Beckham, Actressess Kirsten Dunst,Wynona Ryder, Dakota Fanning and director Sofia Copolla – her number one  muse who starred in ads for both Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton label.

On a personal note, Jacobs who is openly gay has been married with Advertising Executive Lorenzo Martone that didn’t last for a year.
