Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 3 Episode 5 – The Girl With The Killer Smile

Monika claiming the top spot yet again!

After a shocking elimination from the last panel, the nine girls left are feeling the heat of the competition!

In this episode, the girl went on to an actin class with Indonesian TV Personality Daniel Mananta.

At the challenge, Barbara easily won the challenge having the “perfect selfie” – I mean I loved Barbara but…poor Amanda’s struggling though – at the workshop and the challenge. It must be the age? Hhmm Nah.

The photoshoot was for the show’s sponsor, Close-up and the best photo will win a campaign from said sponsor. At the shoot, I though Aimee did the best but the end result wasn’t that impressive IMO.And Melissa’s totally shining!!!! I just loved her! The rest of the girls are too studied If I’m being honest. Based on the shoot alone, I’d give the FCO to either Melissa or Monika.

Asia’s Next Top Model Season 3 Episode 4: Shanghai Beauty Photoshoot

At this week’s episode, Loretta found herself bouncing back from the bottom pit of last week’s elimination barely surviving the cut by winning the make-up challenge. A challenge win she shared with fellow contestant from Hong Kong, KB.

For their photoshoot, the girls will have to impress the judges by igniting romance out of their shoot with a partner – a male model that is!

This week first call out was given to Monika – although not my most favorite photo in the bunch, I thought it was at least in the top three. That’s just for me though. I just really loved Amanda’s shot!

The episode this week was all about transformation, attitude and lots of tears from girls who are more worried with their hair than staying one more week in the competition.

My personal favorite transformation are from Melissa, Aimee and Chesca – gah – Melissa’s exceptionally gorgeous this episode I feel like she should just get the title this early…LOL but yeah – we’ll have to wait and see…

Asia’s Next Top Model Season 3 Episode 2 – The Girl With K-POP Fever!

This season’s second episode got all K-POP on us with the girls posing in groups trying to outshine each other while donning colorful and vibrant K-pop ensemble.

As for their challenge, the girls did their best to impressed by dancing K-POP style which consequently won by the trio of Aimee Bradshaw, Franchesca Lagua and Melissa Tan.

During the photoshoot, the girls were group into four where they will be posing as Korean Pop singers. Pretty neat concept If I may say but the end result – not really digging them but I gotta say Melissa’s group totally nailed this shoot!!! Special mention to Melissa – she’s bringing that K-POP attitude in the pose! Just amazing!!!

Melissa – damn girl. Winner potential! Not gonna complain if I’ll see here in the final four this early in the competition!
Gani – oohhchow! Beautiful Gani is beautiful!
Celine – Not a fan of her face here but as a whole – she’s totally complementing Gani and Melissa.

Loretta, Barbara, Aimee

Loretta – She’s really working it in her pose but her face does not really work for me here.
Barbara – Too studied for me but no one can deny how pretty Barbara is.
Aimee – I loved Aimee here and I don’t understand why she got a very low score.

Amanda, Franchesca, Monika

Amanda – IMO, the worst this week. I can’t at her styling. From top to bottom. Ugh. I think she’s got tons of potentials though so let’s see in the upcoming episodes.
Chesca – Loved her face! Need more neck.
Monika – Not a stand out but she’s okay.

KB, Rani, Tahlia, Kiana

KB – A bit hoochie.
Rani – Very surprising! Loved the face but that thigh is killing me!
Thalia – I’m not a fan of that pose but I loved the attitude!
Kiana – Forgettable but IMO, not the worst.

Asia’s Next Top Model Season 3 – Episode 1 Photoshoot (The Girl In A Spin)

Bias aside, I think Amanda totally killed this shoot! I’m so in love with it!!!!

The first episode saw the the fourteen lucky hopefuls settled into their new house. They then meet with host Georgina and fellow judge Joey to evaluate their runway walk which will be part of their very first challenge. As per Top Model outrageous tradition, the girls were asked to walk the runway with a turn table at the end. Barbara (JPN) won the runway challenge although the judges were unanimous about Monika’s runway prowess. (just gotta get that out yeah? home girl and all LOL) Their first shoot was a swimsuit shoot where the youngest contestant Amanda from the Philippines easily stood out from the rest along with Barbara and Monika. Meanwhile, Shareeta (so gorg btw) struggled so much which led to her untimely demise on the show >a bit extreme I know< but I really loved the girl and thought that she’d go so far!!!! Too bad really!!!

Barbara

I loved the proportion of her body although I was a bit distracted by the angle of her face. This was a beautiful shot overall.

Monika

The girl whom the judges thought was born for runway! I couldn’t agree more. Loved this shot but found her waist too thin! Still, that face! that face!

Tahlia

I’m not really a fan of this shot but I loved her face so I’m okay with her position so far.

Gani Ayu

Gawd! You gotta love that Asian flavor! Not my favorite shot in the bunch but I so love her oriental beauty!

Aimee

I’m not that impressed with her facial expression here but the neck below was almost perfect!

Loretta

This one though reminds me of an underwear catalog from Avon – dunnowhy?

This for some reason reminds me so much of a GUESS? ads!

Chesca

Gaaahhh. I don’t understand this one. It’s too pedestrian.

Melissa

A wee bit cliche yeah? Remember Anamaria from America’s Next Top Model Cycle15?

Kiana

I actually loved this shot!! The feel is very “Tropical” and I loved the contour of her body. What drag this down though was her eyes. Too bad really.

Rani

Not exactly a good shot of her – proportions were off and the styling. Just tsk.

Celine

Great face. Lacks inspiration.

Shareeta

As much as I loved the beauty of this girl, I just have to agree with the judges. It’s the weakest photo in the bunch. I won’t be blaming it all to Shareeta though. I thought her styling overall does not suit her.

Meet The Contestants Of Asia’s Next Top Model Season 3!!!

After the highly successful first two season of Asia’s Next Top Model – the region is yet again searching for the new face of said show. Last year, Liam Yee Sheen better known as Sheena from Malaysia was awarded the title amidst tremendous backlash from Pinoy netizens. Right now though, all is well and dandy and with Filipina top model/endorser Georgina Wilson spearheading this season replacing last year’s host Nadya Hutagalung and will also judge along with with third time judge Joey Mead-King and Australia’s Next Top Model resident judge and fashion designer, Alex Perry. With this, the show promises to have its best season so far.

The ceremony is currently on going but we’ve seen ’em beautiful dresses in the red carpet… let me just present to you my best dressed celebs for this year’s biggest night in Hollywood…

The refine beauty of Emma Stone is off the charts in this long-sleeved mint green Elie Saab gown ! She nailed it from head to toe! Easy A!

Gywneth Paltrow does not know how not to work the red carpet with her penchant for subdued colors with gritty details – you gotta admit though, it works all the time! Here, she’s sporting a custom made gown from Ralph & Russo with a decidedly massive rose on the left shoulder. Glamazing!

Julianne Moore showed off a custom made Karl Lagerfeld-designed gown by Chanel. Looking etherally beautiful in white, this strapless gown with Chopra jewels apparently took 927 hours to look this way! That is serious working hours but definitely worth it!

Reese Witherspoon wears Tom Ford and was looking like an old-school Hollywood star! Shining through, shining through!

Class personified. The 19x Oscar nominated actress arrived at the red carpet wearing a custom made Lanvin creation by Alber Elbaz – not too risky, not too grand. Just something befitted for someone like THE Meryl Streep.
