Born to a prestigious political family, Avery Adams plays as hard as he works. The gorgeous, charismatic attorney is used to getting what he wants, even the frequent one-night stands that earn him his well-deserved playboy reputation. When some of the most prominent men in politics suggest he run for senate, Avery decides the time has come to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps. With a strategy in place and the campaign wheels rolling, Avery is ready to jump on the legislative fast track, full steam ahead. But no amount of planning prepares him for the handsome, uptight restaurateur who might derail his political future.

Easy isn’t even in the top thousand words to describe Kane Dalton’s life after his father, a devout Southern Baptist minister, kicks him out of the family home for questioning his sexual orientation. Despite all the rotten tomatoes life throws his way, Kane makes something of himself. Between owning a thriving upscale Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown Minneapolis and managing his long-term boyfriend, his plate is full. He struggles to get past the teachings of his childhood to fully accept his sexuality and rid himself of the doubts brought on by his religious upbringing. The last thing he needs is the yummy, sophisticated, blond-haired distraction sitting at table thirty-four.

So here’s what I’ve been looking forward this month and I’m also pretty excited about it – the release of Kindle Alexander’s new novel under the “Nice Guys series” entitled “Full Disclosure.” For those of you who have not read the first book [Double Full] – it features Mitch Knox (who’s the MC in Full Disclosure), a secondary character shown at the latter part of said novel but don’t fret bb’s because this second book can be read as a stand-alone story. I thought it’d be great for you to grab a copy of the first book as well. Its expected publication is on September 16 as per Miss Alexander and don’t you just love that wickedly sexy cover? I almost cannot contain my excitement; I guess I’m still nursing my hangover from her previously released books and this one could really help my yearning for another “Always, Up In Arms, The Current Between Us, Texas Pride and Double Full” – whew! I mentioned them all I think. Hey’ since you’re reading this, why not read my reviews on these books and grab yourself a copy yeah?

Here’s the synopsis of Full Disclosure:

Deputy United States Marshal Mitch Knox apprehends fugitives for a living. His calm, cool, collected attitude and devastatingly handsome good looks earn him a well-deserved bad boy reputation, both in the field and out. While away on an assignment, he blows off some steam at a notorious Dallas nightclub. Solving the case that has plagued him for months takes a sudden backseat to finding out all there is to know about the gorgeous, shy blond sitting alone at the bar.

Texas State Trooper Cody Turner is moving up the ranks, well on his way to his dream of being a Texas Ranger. While on a two-week mandatory vacation, he plans to relax and help out on his family’s farm. Mitch is the last distraction Cody needs, but the tatted up temptation that walks into the bar and steals his baseball cap is too hard to ignore.

As Mitch’s case gains nationwide attention, how will he convince the sexy state trooper that giving him a chance won’t jeopardize his life’s plan…especially when the evil he’s tracking brings the hate directly to his doorstep, threatening more than just their careers. via goodreads

Review: Texas Pride – Kindle Alexander

This was another novel from Kindle Alexander which I thoroughly enjoyed. It’s not as intense as Always but it has the right ingredients to be considered a good novel. Texas Pride centers on Austin Grainger, a two-time Academy Award winning actor who turn his back from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood wanting to settle down and find peace from it. He decided to go back to his hometown in Texas where he purchase a land and thought that this is where he will find that life he’s been cravin’ for until he laid eyes on Kitt Kelly. Kitt’s the young, sexy and closeted ranch owner who sold him his land and lives next door. As they get to know each other and fell in love, they also find themselves in compromising situations which threatens both their status and what they feel for each other.

I love how Kindle Alexander writes her novels. She’s very consistent in delivering a smooth sailing story. I love the pacing of this story and the characters are well-developed. I love that each has certain characteristics. I love that you could easily remember them. I also love how Austin and Kitt does not beat around the bush making it possible for the story development to progress more which in turn will give richness to the story.

So far, I’ve read two titles from this author and I’m on my third one – in less than three days!!!! I’m very much impressed that I can tell. What an achievement to have produced two exceptionally well-written novels. I can’t wait to read more from her – she’s worthy buying after all.

Book Review: Always – Kindle Alexander

Always is a heartbreakingly beautiful story of one soul finding its mate. I’m not exactly sure about the number of times I’ve cried while reading this book. I can’t even discern which emotion was dominantly directed towards the two main characters in this book.

The stirring narrative of Avery Adams and Kane Dalton’s story was a true testament that, indeed, love knows no limit. It should be boundless and true love can stand the test of time – even the afterlife. Too sappy for you? Maybe so, but this is one book I’m putting atop that pedestal of my favorite books EVER.

It feels wonderful to have stumbled upon this fantastic read. Both men inspired me. Under an unconventional relationship (by world’s standard, unfortunately until today), they have led a beautiful life so normal and just awe-inspiring that I have to commend the author Kindle Alexander for writing such a story.

Sometimes, it’s frustrating to read a book involving gay characters dealing with third parties, with too much personal baggage and too many characters too high-strung to deal with their issues. With this, Kindle Alexander created something that is maybe a little too ideal but perhaps something that exists. Not necessarily under the same scenario as Avery and Kane, but that love is somehow a reality for some. The existence of that kind of love was real – and I’d like to believe it is real.

Always reminds us all that true love conquers all.
