Are you are a natural born Filipino, at least 14 years of age and stands 5’7″ and up –If your answer is Yes to all of these questions, make sure to attend the National Screening on April 10, Sunday, 8PM  at the Meeting Room 8, 3rd Floor, SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.

Bring an all-black 2-piece swimsuit, short dress and heels. Make sure that you don’t wear any make up and have your nails cleaned.

Levi’s Fall/Winter Fashion Collection Preview Featuring 3 Pinay Supermodels!

Charo Ronquillo, Charlene Almarvez and Danica Magpantay worked together for the very first time on the exclusive preview by Levi’s for their Fall / Winter Collection as reported by ABS-CBN News. The three are all alums of Ford’s Supermodel Of The World placing 2nd, 1st and winning the title respectively. The three also share the same agency in Manila, Cal-Carries which is the premiere modelling agency in the Philippines.

Ronquillo said that she was surprised to hear that they all got the job when they met on the same call time as there are only 24 models chosen for the show.

While Levi’s publicist Melissa Ladines mentioned that they want models from different ethnicities so they would have a lot of representation.

The achievement of these three is a proof that Filipino Models are very much in demand as their Asian counterparts and makes it easier for other Filipino models to follow their footsteps.

Hailee Steinfeld -Don’t get us wrong. We love Hailee, I mean she’s all sweet and pretty but we’re not feeling this Marchesa gown for her. It’s just too Prom-ish…

Hilary Swank in a sequined and feathered strapless Gucci Premiere gown. We’ve seen this worn by a couple or three celebs in the red carpet. Sorry Hilary, we’re not buying it this time. So 2000 and late.

Just the day before in Berlin, Jennifer’s hair was still that long dark blonde wearing a Nina Ricci one shouldered pleated and chiffon dress – – it makes us wonder how she do it. She’s always a sight to behold!

Philippines’ Next Top Models Grendel and Jenilyn Disqualified from Binibining Pilipinas 2011

After the official announcement of the 40 Official Candidates of this year Binibining Pilipinas, two of the front-runners were disqualified to continue their quest for the biggest pageant in the country. Philippines’ Next Top Model first and only winner (so far) Grendel Alvarado and PNTM 3rd placer Jenilyn Olivar were shockingly asked to leave the competition that will be held on April at the Araneta Coliseum.

The Binibining Pilipinas Organization has yet to release a statement regarding their disqualifications but such cases are not new to the pageant’s history. Some of the most noted disqualifications includes model and VJ Joey Mead in 2001 due to her age which is  27 – the maximum age required for the pageant then is 25. In 2004, Actress Juliana Palermo was not allowed to join the pageant because of her appearance in a sexy film and in 2009, front runner Sandra Seifert was disqualified from the competition two days before the coronation night due to her FHM pictorials . Seifert end up winning the rival pageant Miss Earth-Philippines and bagged the runner-up crown at the Miss Earth pageant of the same year.  These are some of the wasted Binibining Pilipinas aspirants who are said to have great potentials in the international pageants. Nicole Kidman wore this Jean Paul Gaultier floral strapless gown and for the longest time now, we’re happy that she’s working the red carpet!
