2013 Australia’s Next Top Model Cycle 8 Episode 4 Photoshoot – Modern Take On The 50’s Housewife

Melissa has been a favorite since Day 1 and in this episode, she annihilated everyone with this oh-so-fiercing 50’s housewife shot!

Resident judge Alex Perry stated: “I reckon that’s probably the best photo I’ve ever seen in this competition – of any series, this is special” And that is saying something!

Madeline bores me to death to be honest. It’s nice enough but I’m not really digging it.

This is Shanali’s best shot to date but I still got to see proofs that she’d last until the end. And so far, I aint seeing any.

Duckie reminds me of Viola Davis here. I don’t like this pic at all. Sorry boo

Ashley is the only one that can rival Melissa’s. She’s beautiful here but there’s a little bit of disconnect which I couldn’t place.

This was Taylah’s face when she got FCO last week. Girl, ever heard of versatility?

She’s Jade. NEXT!

I actually loving this shot of Brooke. I just wished it was a full body shot though…I’m loving the expression in her eyes!

This is my second favorite shot next to Melissa and Brooke. I wonder why it was called so low! Go Shannon!

Dajana’s face is just fantastic but she doesn’t know how to use it. I hope she get to stay longer for a chance to showcase her beauty!

Wow! This is pretty boring, no wonder she’s in the bottom. I thought she should’ve left the competition this week…ugh. Wrong decision from the judges!

This episode, the 14 remaining girls are donning Sports Luxe apparels. The girls were brought to the mansion they’ll be staying in – a first in Australia’s Next Top Model history!

Here’s this episode’s Call Out Order…

Taylah is clearly and beyond dominating the competition this week! This was a deserved first call out!

I’ve said it before, Melissa has that face that you cannot missed! I’m really liking this photo though, I thought it was a downgrade from her last week’s shot.

Duckie’s infectious smile is mesmerizing here and I love her skin is glowing! Maybe a bit too much though

Rhiannon knows that this photoshoot was for her and she made sure that she’s werking it here! One of my favorite shots!

I’m starting to get bored with Shannon because I can’t get a personality out of her. ‘good thing though, you just can’t ignore this photo!

I’m not a fan of Jade. This is just flat.

I actually liked this photo of Dajana. If she have been fiercer with her eyes, she coul’ve propel higher in the call outs!

This I love for some reason. April looks like an athletic model because of her cheekbones and androgynous look!

I kinda don’t agree with the decision of kicking out Taylor this early. I thought her picture’s not that great but it’s definitely not the worst! Oh well, potential-wise – she may have fell a bit too short.

2013 Australia’s Next Top Model Cycle 8 Episode 2 Photoshoot – Lost Travelers

I’m actually stunned with the results this episode. I thought the girl who got the boot was one of the “front runners” of this competition for having one of the strongest looks… oh well, maybe that’s just for me. Here are the photos of the 15 girls who went overseas right away – in the beautiful country of Thailand for an impressive second photoshoot posing as lost travelers. If truth be told, the Australian version is the best amongst any other Top Model series!

Abbie

I like this shot because I see how tall Abbie is here but her lips is kinda distracting.

April

I love the fierceness April is giving me here. I love the expression of her eyes here like she doesn’t need a full body shot to make it work. She nailed it!

Ashley

Ashley could sell any cosmetic products because she looks insanely divine here! My only problem with this pic is that she looks short.

Brooke

Brooke is fast becoming one of my favorites for the title. This girl may have been tagged as one of the “commercial-looking ones” during the screening but she’s looking so fierce now showing us that she could also do high fashion!

Dajana

I thought Dajana’s shot came just short of becoming flat. She could’ve done better with her eyes. She looks cross-eyed here and just tired.

Duckie

Duckie is working it! The hair and the whole styling just suits her! My only concern here is that she’s looking a wee-bit short in pictures when she’s actually 5’11”!

Jade

This is just flat and forgettable. Sorry Jade!

Madeline

This could’ve been a better shot if she doesn’t look unsure here. It looks like she’s about to cry!

Melissa

This girl is looking amazing here! You cannot missed this face anywhere! I love her! She kinda reminds me of Mena Suvari for some reason.

Rhiannon

This is so fashion 101 posing. This isn’t working for me at all. She’s got a unique look and she’s not using it!

Shanali

Shanali is a very pretty girl but she’s not cutting it for me. Her picture is flat. Nuff said.

Shannon

This picture is a disaster. Her head looks so big here. I don’t think this was her best shot. It could have work if she lay at the stairs.

Taylah

This is a good shot but it’s not giving me the “lost travelers” vibe at all. It’s a good thing though that she’s look fantastic in here.

Taylor

She has a unique face alright but I find her too boring. This was just an a-okay picture. I hope she step it up the next time.

Chanique

This isn’t a really good shot from her but we all know that she’s got potentials! Sadly, her dream of becoming Australia’s Next Top Model ends this episode! So long Chanique!

The Contestants Of 2013 Australia’s Next Top Model Cycle 8!

The Australia’s Next Top Model is regarded as one the most successful franchise of the Top Model show producing the likes of Alice Burdeu, Amanda Ware and most recently, Montana Cox. This year, another 15 hopefuls were chosen for the eight season of the series which is now hosted by former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins after Sarah Murdoch left the show last year.
