America’s Next Top Model Cycle 24 Episode 4 – American Horror Story

The official title of the episode is “Beauty is Drama” and the shoot was inspired by American Horror Story hence the title of this blog post.

The brief is about becoming scary yet fierce at the same time. I think so far, this is my favorite shoot to date but gaaah, I can only name two who made me think that they could be in a magazine editorial and that is Brendi K and Christina – the rest are just meh for me.

America’s Next Top Model Cycle 24 Episode 3 – The Makeovers!

In this episode, the remaining 14 models were each given a signature trademark that would hopefully set them apart from everyone. Again, there’s the usual drama which I honestly couldn’t stand because they all knew what the’ve signed up for.

I absolutely loved this look! It made her non-boring!

Christina

Not very sure about the hair color but Christina is one of my favorites this cycle so I’m giving her a pass here.

Coura

Coura looks amazing but she’s a very weak model, IMO. Just putting it out there.

Erin

She’s always safe. She’s not showing me anything new. I think she needs to go soon.

Jeana

My favorite make-over, most definitely!

Khrystyana

Is she really better than Tocarra? Nah.

Kyla

Another favorite of mine! I adore her duck lips! She reminds me of the models of early 2000’s.

I don’t get her. I mean, I still don’t get her. I don’t give a hoot about her FCO. I still think that she’s very pedestrian.

We all knew that Ivana won’t make it past the the top 10 based on the caliber of her competition. I mean, she looked absolutely smashing during the shoot but being pretty just won’t cut it. No shade. Just tea.

America’s Next Top Model Cycle 24 Episode 2 Photoshoot: Bohemia Pregnancy

The challenge this episode was a runway challenge at the Venice Beach skate park – remember, Cycle 15? Anyhoo, the girls modeled designs from Baja East with the winner getting a chance to walk the the designer’s show at the New York fashion week. Khrystyana won the challenge and deservingly so.

As for the shoot this week, they were to have a bohemian pregnancy shoot with featured photogs Charlotte Rutherford. I honestly didn’t like this shoot very much. It’s almost a beauty shoot in a way and I wished they’d do more of that in the future shoots.

Mama TyTy was back hosting the show and the premiere episode of the 24th cycle of the show introduces us to diverse ladies vying for the Top Model title!

Nobody got the boot yet, so nothing interesting has happened yet aside from the contestant who’s deem to have an attitude but I mean – she telling it straight to mama, so there’s that.

Rita Ora to host the return of America’s Next Top Model!

Rita12So I’ve been waiting for a more definite confirmation before I post this one but it looks like it’s almost a sure thing that popstar Rita Ora will be hosting the come-back of the original ‘Top Model’ series, America’s Next Top Model. Obviously, Tyra Banks won’t be the host but she’s still going to be playing a big part on the show’s comeback as its executive producer.

With Tyra okay-ing the former X-Factor UK host as her replacement, it sure sounds like a very interesting Top Model season is before us as it returns to its original channel, VH1.

I’m still not sure about Rita hosting the show as I expected at least a really working supermodel to do the job (like Alessandra, Karolina or Coco) but I loved Rita during the X-Factor last year and she absolutely upstaged Cheryl when it comes to fashion as well. Hah! So for now, that works for me.

Cycle 23 – The Return of America’s Next Top Model on VH1!

ANTM LOGOI’ve been a fan of this show since Adrianne Curry’s win and the show became one of my staple watch when it comes to reality TV shows! So, I was really fucking happy to hear that the show that we all thought has ended with Nyle Di Marco being its last winner is coming back on-air! Yaaaaaasssss!

The show is set to return with its 23rd Cycle but with a different host this time. No names has yet to be named but creator and host for the last 22 cycles Tyra Banks will be spearheading the show as its executive producer whilst the transfer from CW to VH1 is like a rebirth for the show since it was launched by the latter’s station when it started.

“After creating an incredible, global brand, I am beyond excited to have the show reborn,” said the former supermodel. “I will continue as executive producer, but must turn my attention to new business endeavors, so I want to find a new host. I’m pumped to identify that person and bring back the show. Top Model fans, you demanded that the show come back, and VH1 answered the call. Get ready for a fierce-a-fied rebirth!”

America’s Next Top Model Cycle 22 Episode 7 Recap [September 16, 2015]

Mame and MikeyHere we go again for another predictable but fun episode of America’s Next Top Model Cycle 22! This week is about trimmin’ it down based on potential if I may just say so.
There was acting challenge this week with big people from The CW are present to judge it. Kween Lacey end up winning the challenge with Devin and Ashley settling for the bottom of the pit. Poor Ashley because Devin totally pulled her down this time. Whatever happened to DMA???

At the photoshoot, Mame and Mikey got partnered again for that cheesy mock boom boom boom deodorant commercial.

I thought Mikey and Mame totally killed the shoot. And by gawd, Lacey’s just too pretty for the camera!!! I just loved this girl!

Nyle on the other hand was challenged a bit here because the commercial requires talking and Nyle did it with signs naturally. I thought he did really well though ^__^

Courtney was great but she’s a bit tiring to coach yeah?

The rest is just in between. In short. mediocre.

America’s Next Top Model Cycle 22 Episode 6 Recap

6th Episode ANTM22So yesterday’s episode didn’t really give us something to really talk about…like, not really. For one, at the very beginning – Ava’s already whining of not wanting to be in the competition or not joining the show for the drama and all. I’m like, girl – this is ANTM so yeah… go ahead and get gone…

Then Justin gladly informed us that he and Mame are Eco-warriors! Yay! –uhm. Okay.

And then the shower altercation between Mame and Hadassah – honestly, I loved both girls but I seriously think Mame needs to take some chill pill. I still love ya boo’ but quit it with the yelling…luls. You say you want it to end but you keep discussing of not really wanting to discuss that little fiasco by yelling. LOLS

Then there’s the reward challenge – Whitney Lee Thompson was the guess for that where she poses along with each pair of models wearing LetMeBe apparel. Gawd, Nyle was the freaking adorable!!! Just adorable!!!! Be my baby daddy Nyle – pretty please?

At the shoot, the usual suspects are the one who struggled the most. Courtney, poor Courtney…*smh* I’m very much impressed again by Mikey and Mame’s performances and by gawd, Nyle is really bringing it. Miss consistent Lacey is always giving us aces shots so I’m guessing that she’ll sail through the final four easily…
