America’s Next Top Model Cycle 15, Episode 2 with Diane Von Furstenberg

For the second episode of the High Fashion 15th cycle of America’s Next Top Model, the contestants were up to walk for designer Diane Von Furstenberg literally in the air. The catwalk is four story high and they have to show how fierce they are struttin’ DVF’s designs.

Teen star Demi Lovato came for a surprise visit on their first official photoshoot about teen bullying where the models posed wearing a two piece swimsuit with bully words and power words written all over their body.

The panel of judges composed of the old-timers Tyra, Nigel and new judge from last cycle — Andre Leon Talley with Diane Von Furstenberg as the guest judge.

Ann’s photo was deemed the best while Anamaria may not have the worst photo –her attitude towards her body threw the judges off that made her the first girl to pack her stuff off the loft.

America’s Next Top Model Cycle 15, Episode 1 The High Fashion Cycle

This cycle promised to be different from the last 14 cycles because this is the “real” high fashion cycle where the winner will be featured in none other than the fashion bible, Vogue Italia, win a contract with IMG Models, and win a hundred thousand contracts with Covergirl Cosmetics!

They are indeed full of promise, as Tyra chose 14 girls to battle it out, with the shortest girl standing 5’8 ½” and the tallest contestant with a towering 6’ 2” frame.

Charlene Almarvez: Asia’s Next Top Model

Charlene Louise Alagon Almarvez also known as Chat Almarvez in the fashion industry is a young native of Laguna, Philippines who was hailed the runner-up in this year’s Ford Supermodel of The World held in Brazil (January 2010). This 17 year old  lass is now under Ford Models agency who signed her with a whopping $150,000 contract.

In recent years, we have the likes of Verns Buckley, Charo Ronquillo strutting their stuff in the international runway (both are products of Ford Supermodel Of the World)

Now, this young Filipina is without question leading the pact with the mission to conquer the fashion world, once again proving that Asians are one of the most beautiful women in the planet.

America’s Next Top Model Cycle 15: Are the girls Vogue-worthy?

The fifteenth cycle of the hit show America’s Next Top Model seemed to be a very promising one as the winner would land a cover at the Italian Vogue. Yes, you heard it right; the winner will grace the fashion bible and one of the best Vogue publications ever. After years of having the winner get a spread for Seventeen magazine, this cycle’s winner would have a very good start making name for herself in the fashion industry.

According to early reports, the minimum height of the girls for this cycle is 5’9″. The only question is, are the chosen girls for this cycle really worth the cover of Vogue?

I thought Tyra will be putting 14 girls for her hit show’s 14th cycle but she decided to pick 13 girls to compete for the Top Model’s title and finish their catwalk / netwalk in New Zealand which is the international destination for this cycle.Netwalk will be this cycle’s theme –it is the Tyra’s version of Myspace / Facebook.
