The first call out went to Helena (her 2nd FCO) followed by Stephanie, Jee, Rachel, Filantropi, Sofia, Melissa, Jessica, Kate, Trang. Bei Si and Aastha’s photos are deemed the worst this week and the girl that got the boot is… Bei Si – bye girl!
Episode two had its fair share of surprising conclusions. The girls had a fashion show for their challenge where Trang emerged as the winner (FYI: Trang was part of Vietnam’s Next Top Model Cycle 2) . During the photo shoot the girls were divided into three groups for a posed off in a Prada shoot for Harper’s Bazaar (how’s that?) portraying virtual princesses. Monica of Thailand had to quit after receiving news that her father is sick. At the judging panel, Rachel Erasmus (India) fainted and had to be taken out of the room for medical treatment. The very first Asia’s Next Top Model had its premiere yesterday featuring 14 aspiring models from the far east and south east Asia. Former MTV Asia VJ Nadya Hutagalung served as the head judge and host at the same time with Fashion Director Daniey Boey, Model Joey Mead King and Fashion photographer Todd Anthony completing the panel of judges in choosing the next top model in this side of the world.

I almost missed posting this great editorial from Montana Cox – one of my favorite girls to come out of any Next Top Model series. This served as her first international editorial with THEVogue Italia showcasing Valentino Haute Couture Fall Winter 2012-2013 collection. My girl clearly knows how to stand out in a crowd. Hailing from beauty pageant powerhouse Venezuela, Romina Palmisano represented Carabobo and placed in the top 10 during the 2010 Miss Venezuela where she also won the Miss Personality award – this may be a big factor aside from her obvious demigod beauty and out of this world body why she was chosen to be one of Victoria’s Secret newest Angels. She may not have won the crown during the Miss Venezuela 2010 but Romina is destined for greatness as the first Venezuelan beauty queen turned into an “Angel.”
