Here’s our Megan making the Top 10! Yay! With the rest of the finalists!
Here’s what our Miss Philippines Megan Young will be wearing for the Top Model fast track event of Miss World 2013. The event will be held on September 24 where delegates around the world will sashay the runway wearing the creations of Indonesian designers!
Looking so fab!
Watch Megan below with her Top Model designer, a royalty in Bali – Princess Mirah
This film actually reminds me of Lake House for the impossibility of the premises presented in the film, but I am somehow delighted by Rachel McAdams’ effortless acting, which is still as powerful as we’ve seen it in The Notebook. The depth of her love for her time traveler’s husband (Eric Bana) is so surreal that it’s almost heartbreaking.
The movie, adapted from the book with the same title by Audrey Niffenegger, experimented with human relationships and how revisiting the past could actually make you happy, heal some wounds, and go on with the future.
The impossibility of it is what makes it special. After watching the film, you’d be asking a lot of questions and easily judging it to be a little overbearing and ridiculous, but it is actually a feel-good film that you can enjoy watching with your loved ones.
Rating: 7 out of 10 Director: Robert Schwentke Novel’s Author: Audrey Niffenegger Screenplay: Jeremy Leven, Bruce Joel Rubin Starring: Eric Bana, Rachel McAdams, Ron Livingston
This was actually a very strong final four – it feels like the competition was whittled down to the best girls to battled it out until the end but this being a pre-finale episode, we still need to see one of them go and sadly it had to be…
Abbie Weir still werked it BIG time!
This was from one of their challenge shoots this episode, the Mermaid photoshoot challenge. I thought Abby nailed this one but she just really fell short over all according to the judges. I really thought that she had this in the bag after getting first call out last week! It’s nice, though, that she went home with this amazing shot. She’ll be fine…
Beyond!
Duckie’s Alien Shot
3rd Call out went to Duckie – I love Duckie from the very start but if I’m being honest, I would have Abbie than her at the finale.
S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G
2nd Call out went to Melissa – that face is one in a million! Let’s face it, this girl’s gonna have a big modeling career after this! Paging IMG!!!
and the Photo of the Season was awarded to…
Photo Of The Season?
I’m not exactly in agreement with the judges calling Shanali’s photo the best in the series. I thought it was still Melissa’s 50’s housewife that was most memorable and just pure enigmatic. We have to give it to Shanali though for being the most consistent girl this year – is she destined successor of Queen Montana?
I love that she seemed genuinely sincere here but I kinda feel that the weight of the other entries eclipsed her chosen project. I’m still hopeful though. What can you say about her entry?
Our very own Megan Young was part of the ‘Top 11″ in one of the fast track events in this year’s Miss World 2013 – the Beach Fashion aka Beach Beauty (one of the most important fast track events.) This time, they’re covered in a sarong to show respect since the pageant is in a predominantly Muslim country. Megan may not be the tallest in the bunch but she’s killing it!!!
Megan is perfection personified!

I would also like to request for you guys to keep on voting for Megan to secure her a Top 5 spot!!!
And then there were six. Here are the remaining six girls still in the running of becoming Australia’s Next Top Model.
Abbie Weir
It was just like yesterday when I don’t see Abbie as a model until she proved me wrong week after week – now she may be heading to win this season’s title! It’s gonna be a toss between her, Melissa and Shanali IMO.
Shanali
To be honest, I do not like this photo of Shanali. It’s doing nothing for me. The photo lacks the story and charisma! Cmon’ girl, it’s the homestretch!
Melissa
Melissa is perfection here! I really thought that she would be getting her third FCO of the season, but alas – a frontrunner but slug it out until the end! werk it girl!
Duckie
Duckie’s probably the most consistent girl in the competition. This girl can do no wrong and that is what’s wrong with her. She’s too calculated that it has become too boring. I’m guessing a final 3 at max for her. ‘still love you boo!
Dajana
Sabotage alert. From her fab photo last week to this. It’s no wonder she went home.
Jade
I’m not a fan of Jade since the beginning so I don’t mind her leaving with Dajana.
Now we only have four remaining girls to battle it out next week! At this stage of the competition, who do you think should really win based solely in their body of work and modeling potential?
Her beauty, eloquence and bubbly personality are the three factors that would make our very own Megan Young the perfect Miss World! After Mutya Datul conquered Belarus last night, I think a back to back international crowning for the Philippines isn’t that far behind with Megan campaigning for the first blue crown in Indonesia. Ya’ll agree with me? 🙂
Megan shines bright in Yellow.
from her official Miss World – Philippines page:
Today was bright and shiny so I wanted to showcase that through my outfit #OOTD! Sometimes I like matching my outfits with my mood. Today was all about positive vibes! We didn’t do much but they asked a group of girls to re-do their talent for round 2 of auditions. I hope I get into the next round of auditions
Today was our last day at the Pan Pacific hotel and it ended with a bang. We had dinner while watching the sunset! It really is awesome meeting so many girls from around the world. And speaking of world, I met Miss World 2012 Wenxia Yu! I went all fangirl and asked if I could take a picture with her. As they say in filipino, “kinilig ako” (I got giddy) when I had my picture taken with her. Miss France is just so gorgeous! I love talking to Miss Singapore because she reminds me of Zee, the second princess in Miss World Philippines. Miss Dominican Republic is from New York and I love how fierce she is. I am so in awe with Miss South Sudan and Miss Ghana because they are so beautiful and sophisticated. – Megan
We can also help Megan land the top 5 so easily (although, in my opinion she could easily do this alone) by voting for her via the Miss World App. To get the application, download on either iTunes (Apple Products), or the Playstore (Android Devices). Once you’ve downloaded it, you get 2 free votes and vote for the Philippines!
I knew it! I said it before and I’m saying it now. Mutya is just the perfect representative of our country to the Miss Supranational and she didn’t disappoint! Mutya went on to win the first crown for the Philippines and Asia for the matter in this very young pageant – charming the people and the judges in Minsk, Belarus last night to win the crown! I’m just so proud of this girl.
You are truly blessed Mutya and may this be the start of everything you’ve ever dreamed of. The Philippines is so proud of you!
Our girl Megan is truly unstoppable. She shines brightly in Bali, Indonesia amongst the 128 other contestants from around the globe competing for the Miss World beauty title. Below are her official Miss World profile pictures taken at the Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Resort where the delegates are staying until September 8! Just look at how beautiful Megan is! She is indeed a top contender for the crown!
