Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 2 Episode 9 – The Girl With a Wild Side

There’s a lot of things that I liked about the episode last night and just a few missed that I didn’t care about at all after waking up this morning. I loved the fact that my two home-girls got the first and second call-outs, whoot hoot! And ofcourse, the photoshoot this week was j’adore!!!! I’m not that disappointed with the girl that was sent home, only if you will based the episode on their body of works all throughout the competition but to boot her out with that picture was a travesty! For this episode, the girls went to Sarawak in Borneo. During the shoot, resident judge Mike Rosenthal was their photographer so the girls were very nervous and all. It was the best concept of the season for a shoot if I may say so, let’s all check them out…

Jodilly

Jodilly

This for me is beyond incredible! It’s my favorite shot of the season! This is a very strong photo and could easily land Jodilly a spot in the finals!

Josephine

Josephine

I just love this girl! She keeps on producing great shot after another! I’m not gonna be mad if I’ll see her walking the final runway.

Katarina

Katarina

I love me some baby Katja and she’s looking fierce as hell here! I love that she also reminds me of a tribe princess here jungle warrior princess theme since the outfits says so little about the latter.

Marie

Marie

This shot is too grotesque for me in the face. I wished Marie could’ve soften it a little but nevertheless, it was still a good shot face down.

Natalie

Natalie

Remove the shoes and I can totally picture this in a National Georgraphic feature. I just love the composition of this shot! There’s so much to look at and it’s really interesting!

Nicole

Nicole

Nicole’s magic seems to be not working this time – she’s totally losing it. Cmon’ girl! It’s the final stretch!

Sheena

Sheena

Wow! Sheena is looking so luminous! I love her body movement and I love that I can still see Sheena! Like always, it’s smashing!

So who went home this episode?

I took this beautiful scenic view of the Kapay-Aw Rice terraces after our trekking at the Pongas Falls in Sagada (’twas my second visit as well.) What can I say, I just love this place for everything seemed to be perfect in it like this view!

Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 2 Episode 3 – The Girl Who’s Hot When She Is Cold

This episode almost killed half of the girls in the house. For their reward challenge, the girls did a commercial shoot for Visit Malaysia 2014 ads where they have to walk  the runway  on top of Menara Kuala Lumpur (KL Tower)! Janice had a panic attack while most of the girls did pretty well. Hometown girl Josephine was the winner of this challenge!

For their third shoot, the girls are to posed sexy as they test their limits to withstand the cold wearing just skimpy outfitsin SnoWalk in Sengalor. Most of them were amazing this episode except for Janice who seemed to be off her elements this week.

At panel, Josephine was yet again praised for her consistency as well as Nicole  (who’s becoming my favorite by the way) for delivering edgy looks. The judges were not that impressed with the rest but they ultimately felt Janice and Jihye didn’t deliver at all…

So who’s getting the boot???

I just love how Nicole's working her face!

Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 2 Episode 2 – Who Attracts the Following?

Last night’s episode was pretty interesting with the  remaining 14 girls vying for the title of the most bad@ss model in the house LOL. For their challenge, they were to form three groups with three girls each leaving Nicole and Sneha group-less so they formed a two-girl group instead.  The groups are to take “selfies” of themselves and the winner of that challenge was the beautiful Pooja who shared her reward to… Katarina! They went to an helicopter ride, sightseeing the beautiful Malaysian scenery.

Shortly after that, the girls are to pose in Malaysian traditional clothing in Batu Caves ( a limestone hill that has a series of caves and cave temples situated in Gombak district in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.)

During the shoot, each girl just had 15 frames to work with. Jodilly, Janice, Nicole and Sneha impressed the photographer while Pooja, Katja and Natalie did okay.  Bona was not showing versatility disappointing everyone in the shoot and the rest are just hanging there.

Prior to the panel, the girls are having some issues with each other esp Nicole over Janice whose being a brat in my opinion. Wow! I feel like watching an episode of the American version with this episode! LOL. Tia’s being all so bitchy with Katja. At panel, they hated Bona’s picture. Too bland IMO. I also didn’t like Tia’s pose. She’s not a model, TBH and the judges doesn’t like it as well. #served

Anyways, here are the pictures from last night episode. Don’t mind my critique, that’s just me. >_<

Bona

Bona

This is beyond lifeless. I thought she’d be great over the run of the show but this is pretty boring.

Janice

Janice

I do not like her at all. This photo isn’t very good to begin with. She look one dimensional in my opinion.

Jihye

Jihye

I feel that the dress is too much for her. She’s drowning in this shot.

Jodilly

Jodilly

Biases aside, I think my homegirl’s killing it! The hidden hand was a bit distracting but overall, I’d say that this is a really great shot!

Josephine

Josephine

I love Josephine’s bone structure. She can do better than this and I’m putting this shot in the upper tier.

Katarina

Katarina

The ever-so feisty Katja! I totally love her personality but I feel that she’s not bringing it! She’s without question the prettiest in the house but “pretty” can only get you further.

Marie

Marie

I feel that she’s being safe but girl has got it!

Natalie

Natalie

I liked it. I’m just worried that she looks really short which doesn’t help her at all since she’s only 5’7.”

I'm surprised by Nicole. She's giving me a supermodel aura. I love the position of her legs as well as her face!!! Lovely!

Poojaa (Challenge Winner)

Poojaa (Challenge Winner)

I love this shot. I thought it’s very elegant. Not digging her look but her posture’s quite nice.

Sheena

Sheena

Now, this is fierce baby!! Go Sheena!

Sneha

Sneha

She overdid it so there. It didn’t work at all.

Thao

Thao

I love Thao! I love how she photographs and her face is just to die for! It’s very interesting!

Tia

Tia

I’m not really digging it! Tia’s not a model, I’m sorry.

December To Remember In Sagada Part 2: Rocky Valley Inn and Cafe Review (December 2013)

I booked a room for two as early as November since most of the Inns that I’ve contacted are fully booked already because of the bonfire festival and naturally, December’s a peak season in Sagada. I was able to booked at Rocky Valley Inn. I was asked to deposit half of the rate for three days (it’s 250/pax/day.) The inn is located near the Sagada Weaving and is in front of a gas station. It was a  good 8 minute walk from/to the center.

The place was very clean of course. I thought Alex, the guy who assisted us was very professional. The room given to us was at the second floor with a veranda which I loved by the way because it’s fronting a big beautiful rock formation and it was naturally, freaking cold.

They have WiFi connection at the ground floor and they also served food. The food was good and reasonably priced. Our only critique is the lack of hospitality from the other girl who’s manning the place who keeps sneering on us. She was probably in a bad mood that weekend. o_O  Overall, our stay was rather okay because the rooms are clean as well as the shared rest rooms. Just good food and clean room. *wink*

My Version Of OKTOBERFEST in Sagada Part 5: Salt & Pepper, Echo Valley and Photo Ops (October 2013)

On our last day, Joba and her boyfriend Russell had to leave early because they have to attend some stuff in Manila so Anna and I stayed just a little bit and decided to leave at lunch time.

We had our breakfast at Salt & Pepper whose ambiance I digged very much. We both ordered heavy breakfast and talked about what we’re going to do after.

after this we immediately went back to the guest house, packed our belongings and catch the last bus to Baguio City! I realized that October’s a really good time to visit this place (my first time here was in October 2010) because there aren’t too many tourist so you’d feel that you really have the place for yourself!
