Eight girls remains with the competition getting in the nerves of most of the girls. Who’s that one girl who will keep her cool and rise on top this episode?
So far, three girls are getting consistent remarks from the judges for “always bringing it” in every shoot. Marie for one is having an impressive run with the most FCO’s this series thus far, followed by Nicole and Josephine whose pictures are getting rave reviews! Are the judges setting them up to be the finals three?
The challenge winner this episode was Tia (her second this cycle) winning a lunch date with no less than THE Jimmy Choo and they had their photoshoot at the beautiful and luxurious Pangkor Laut resort with Chiun-Kai Shih as their photographer. (which somehow reminds me of the first cycle’s French Riviera‘s episode) The panel was joined by Andrea Fonseka, a former Miss Malaysia.

I love how Jodilly’s using her body here but her facial expression seemed disconnected somehow. I still like it though.
Josephine
JoJo is back! A very strong shot from the most consistent girl this season! I love how she’s using her whole body to get a great shot!
Katarina
Whilst I’m not a fan of this shot, I thought her profile looks absolutely divine! You cannot deny a beauty like Katarina. She’d do really well in beauty campaigns!
Marie
Well, what can I say? Marie’s totally bringing it! This shot is so dynamic and so powerful I could totally see it in any fashion magazine! Well done girl!
Natalie
I really love this shot of Natalie. Unlike Marie, this shot does not require ferocity but softness and some intensity in the eyes. I see softness but not intensity! Still a great shot though!
Nicole
Now, this has got to be Nicole’s worst photo to date. Her body look distorted and her face is unrecognizable. It’s fierce all right but I feel that it’s a bit forced.
Sheena
Mighty Sheena is back! Thank you girl for bringing back the old you! This is smashing and you look like a tree nymph here! This is my favorite shot from the bunch! Amazing!
Tia
Being the shortest in the bunch, she really does look short here and her profile isn’t really that good. It’s time to pack your bag girl, it was a great run though.

There are still ten girls running towards becoming Asia’s Next Top Model since last week was a non-elimination episode. This time around though, it’s going to be a lot harder especially for Janice and Tia who have to carry on with this episode’s photoshoot with frames lesser than the rest of the girls.
For this week’s episode, the girls were tested for their *acting skills* and during the challenge, half of the girls were immediately booted out and were to help the other half to win the challenge. They were paired together to create a night look hair which Sheena easily won and picked her fellow Malaysian Josephine to share her prizes.
The shoot this week was for TRESemmé, one of the main sponsors this cycle (as you may already know, the winner of this cycle will have the chance of becoming the face of one of TRESemmé’s 2014 campaigns.) Now,IMO this is an all important challenge because whoever gets the first call out here have a very good shot of landing at the Top 4 – the least. At the panel, the judges were joined by Asian popstar Coco Lee.

This isn’t working for me at all. If I’m being honest, she looks more than an actress than a model and she does look old at times. Sorry Janice, this is it girl.

I actually loved this shot!! Jodi’s face is a bit harsh at times that seeing her looking so soft this time around was refreshing!
Josephine
I’ve a problem with the way her face photographed here. It made her look old but I love her body position.
Katarina
Finally! Katja’s best shot to date no doubt! That face is flawless! I kinda wished though that she stretched her right hand more because it looks a bit on a shorty side.
Marie
Don’t get me wrong, I love Marie but her picture doesn’t translate top model to me. She’s technically very good and knows her angle but it’s too studied in my opinion. Gotta love this shot though!

I’m not too crazy about this photo because it looks a bit dated but I love her face here!
Nicole
She totally nailed this one!!! I’ve no doubt now that this Singaporean beauty is the one to beat at the moment. She’s tall, she’s high fashion and can be very commercial as well. Plus, her look is very NOW.

Sheena’s one of my favorite girls in the competition and I just love her consistency but she’ boring me for two weeks now.

Oh no, this is a total disaster! After an impressive shoot last week, she’s giving us this pose? It’s so not TRESemmé!

While I’m not the biggest fan of Tia and have wanted her to leave weeks ago, I feel that she’s giving us decent pictures and for that – she deserved to stay a week more.

So we’ve a pretty interesting episode last night with Janice doing all the bitching and blahblah talking and getting all the hate from the rest of the girls. ‘Girl doesn’t know when to shut up but it was really fun if I’m being honest. I love me some Asian catfights.
During the challenge, Joey invited the girls to attend a party and show how they will conduct themselves in an event. Jodilly was unanimously praised and as the winner of this challenge, she was to be given extra 15 frames in the upcoming photoshoot.
During the shoot, Jodi and Nicole did extremely well while most are executed the mechanical couture* shoot poorly. Let’s all check the results of this shoot…
This in my opinion, Janice best shot to date but I still don’t see a model. She’s the mediocre version of Sheena (ANTM Cycle 11) and Sheena’s not even the best girl from that cycle.
Jodilly is showing power here! She knows her angle and I love how she play with her hands! BB Jodilly rocking like a boss!
While I’m a fan of Josephine, I thought this shot was her weakest to date. Waist up was really good but she just look short in here.
Again, it’s the same expression from Katarina. I don’t know what to make of her. The girl’s got the personality of a top model but does she have the goods to prove it? This shot isn’t working at all. It’s either they’re keeping her for her personality rather than her body of work. Step it up baby Katja!
I love Marie here! I thought the pose was a bit stiff but it was not boring. She isn’t showing much facial expression but that body is going on forever!
Natalie received the first call out last week and she came up this episode with a uninspired photo. It just looks so awkward!
I love Nicole! She’s gonna be in the finale! That I could feel as early as now! Another great photo!
Sheena’s getting boring and this one’s such a snoozefest!
Sneha’s showing me the same face but overall, I love this shot. It’s not contrived like Natalie and not stiff like Marie

Photographer Loh Lin Shan was the photog this week in a futuristic sport themed photoshoot! Pretty interesting aye? Each girls will have 15 frames.
Janice is determined to stay one more week and she’s givin’ it her all… still not a fan but kudos to this girl!

Last night’s episode saw the 12 remaining girls undergo makeovers. Some of them aren’t happy about it as usual (cmon’ girls, if you wanna be a model, you’ve to be ready to DO THIS!)

This episode almost killed half of the girls in the house. For their reward challenge, the girls did a commercial shoot for Visit Malaysia 2014 ads where they have to walk the runway on top of Menara Kuala Lumpur (KL Tower)! Janice had a panic attack while most of the girls did pretty well. Hometown girl Josephine was the winner of this challenge!
For their third shoot, the girls are to posed sexy as they test their limits to withstand the cold wearing just skimpy outfitsin SnoWalk in Sengalor. Most of them were amazing this episode except for Janice who seemed to be off her elements this week.
At panel, Josephine was yet again praised for her consistency as well as Nicole (who’s becoming my favorite by the way) for delivering edgy looks. The judges were not that impressed with the rest but they ultimately felt Janice and Jihye didn’t deliver at all…
So who’s getting the boot???

Last night’s episode was pretty interesting with the remaining 14 girls vying for the title of the most bad@ss model in the house LOL. For their challenge, they were to form three groups with three girls each leaving Nicole and Sneha group-less so they formed a two-girl group instead. The groups are to take “selfies” of themselves and the winner of that challenge was the beautiful Pooja who shared her reward to… Katarina! They went to an helicopter ride, sightseeing the beautiful Malaysian scenery.
Shortly after that, the girls are to pose in Malaysian traditional clothing in Batu Caves ( a limestone hill that has a series of caves and cave temples situated in Gombak district in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.)
During the shoot, each girl just had 15 frames to work with. Jodilly, Janice, Nicole and Sneha impressed the photographer while Pooja, Katja and Natalie did okay. Bona was not showing versatility disappointing everyone in the shoot and the rest are just hanging there.
Prior to the panel, the girls are having some issues with each other esp Nicole over Janice whose being a brat in my opinion. Wow! I feel like watching an episode of the American version with this episode! LOL. Tia’s being all so bitchy with Katja. At panel, they hated Bona’s picture. Too bland IMO. I also didn’t like Tia’s pose. She’s not a model, TBH and the judges doesn’t like it as well. #served

This is beyond lifeless. I thought she’d be great over the run of the show but this is pretty boring.
Janice
I do not like her at all. This photo isn’t very good to begin with. She look one dimensional in my opinion.

I feel that the dress is too much for her. She’s drowning in this shot.

Biases aside, I think my homegirl’s killing it! The hidden hand was a bit distracting but overall, I’d say that this is a really great shot!

I love Josephine’s bone structure. She can do better than this and I’m putting this shot in the upper tier.

The ever-so feisty Katja! I totally love her personality but I feel that she’s not bringing it! She’s without question the prettiest in the house but “pretty” can only get you further.
