The X Factor UK 2017 – Week 6 Series’ Finale – Rak-Su Wins!

Rak-Su just became the second act from the groups category to win the X Factor UK since Little Mix won the show in 2011. They are also the first-all male group to win the show!

Grace Davies, the singer-songwriter  from Lancashire village of Langho came in second after performing her original songs in the series.

And the winner is..

Both acts are expected to sign with Simon Cowell’s Sony-owned label, Syco Records!

Dimelo will be Rak-Su’s first single!

The X Factor UK 2017 – Week 6 Top 3 Finals Recap #XFactor

This is going to be real quick because these three remaining acts are all deserving of the top plum! Sadly though, one has to leave the competition last night and two of them will move forward and battle it out tonight to claim to X Factor throne this series!

Each act sang two songs. One for their solo performance and the next one is a duet with an established act.

Kevin Davy White performed first with Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin.

This is a Kevin Davy White classic. Beautiful performance yet again!!!

Grace Davies meanwhile sang Live and Let Die from the 1973 James Bond film of the same title.

Ugh. This is my favorite performance of her tbh. This is her genre!

Rak-Su for their solo sang their original song Mamacita.

These boys are amazing! I’ve high hopes for them win or lose

Their Duets

Kevin Davy White – Fastlove, Pt. 1 with Tokio Myers

Grace Davies – Roots (Original) with Paloma Faith

Rak-Su – Dimelo (Original) with Naughty Boy & Wyclef Jean

Eliminated: Kevin Davy White

My Winner’s Prediction is Grace Davies!

Who Should Win The X Factor UK 2017? #XFactor

We’re down to the last three acts – Grace Davies, Rak-Su and Kevin Davy White  – and this weekend’s performances will determine the series’ 14th champion.

Will the charismatic Kevin Davy White be able to sway the public to vote for him and make him the first non-British contestant to win the show? Or will Rak-Su be performing another chart-topper for their final performances? Last but definitely not the least – will Lancashire native Grace Davies be able to worm her way to the top against her testosterone-dominated competitors?

Let’s watch them in their first audition.

The X Factor UK 2017 – Week 5 Live Shows 10 Semi-finals Double Elimination Recap #XFactor

I think we’ve all seen it coming after Matt Linnen’s elimination on Saturday. Without him in contention, the obvious is very clear that the season’s favorite Rak-Su, Grace Davies and Kevin Davy White will end up battling it each other to be the ultimate winner of this year’s X-Factor and it’s happening next week!

Let’s check out the Top 5 performances!

Lloyd Macey – Fix You by Coldplay

The guy keeps singing ballads so it’s really kind of worrying if he could do anything else. Now, we’ll never know – at last on X-Factor

Rak-Su does what they do best by singing an original! The song is called I’m Feeling You. Personally, it feels like I’ve heard the song before but these guys are fucking fantastic!

The Cutkelvins – Show Me Love by Robin S.

They should’ve left before the Price’s brothers but oh well…

Kevin Day White – Voodoo Child (Slight Return) by the Jimi Hendrix Experience

Again, this guy is already a pro! I mean, what is he doing in X-Factor? He should be at the Grammys, VMA, EMA, Brit Awards…seriously!

Grace Davies sang Wolves – an original and it’s OMFG – just incredible! She’s my winner this week! She got a well deserved spot in the finals!

Eliminated: Lloyd Macey and The Cutkelvins

The X Factor UK 2017 – Week 5 Live Shows 9 Semi-finals Recap #XFactor

It’s the semis and we’re down to the last six acts and by the end of this weekend, we’d only have three or four acts that will compete on most likely next week’s finale!

First, I’ve to say that the results earlier tonight shocked the hell out of me. I didn’t see that coming at all!

The Cutkelvins sang another original called “Nothing Like You,” and it was surprisingly good! I loved hearing more from the brothers!

Nicole: I’m so impressed! I’m starting to see the whole picture!
Louis: It gets better week after week! It sounds like a hit single! Somebody has to go home, it can’t be this guys
Sharon: I think you guys are so much more into it when you do your own material.
Simon: Last week was good. I thought the song was better this week. This was the best performance you’ve done so far.

Matt Linnen – Gimme Shelter by the Rolling Stones
I thought this was Matt’s kind of genre because of his voice but I figured that he’s more of a pop-alt kind of guy.

Louis: You’re good but the song was all wrong.
Sharon: You sang really well tonight. It was really good.
Simon disagreed with Louis because he like that song.
Nicole obviously loved it.

Grace Davis – Life on Mars? by David Bowie
I liked it! This is Grace in her element.

Simon: Why I loved your version, you took it where others won’t take it.
Nicole: You sound beautiful. Understated and simple
Louis: I think you’re a class act. This could be the performance of the night for me.
Sharon: Was so pure and understated.

Kevin Davy White – Come Together by The Beatles
Holly Molly! That was soooo goood!!!

Louis: You’re a class act. We have to get you in the final.
Sharon: You are such a showman!
Simon: It was like being at your concert.
Nicole: You are a trailblazer!

Lloyd Macey – Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me by Sir Elton John
OMG! This is one of my favorite songs ever! I thought he sang it real good! Not the best one I’ve heard but it’s good!

Simon: That was a great song choice.
Nicole: I know you’re sick but that was my absolute favorite performance of yours.
Sharon: You did amazingly well tonight.
Louis: You are a brilliant artist!

Rak-Su – Flowers by Sweet Female Attitude
LOL. I absolutely loved this song! This was quite big during my high school days!!!! I’ve to say though, this was Rak-Su’s worst performance for me.

Louis: Your vocals are absolutely perfect. He didn’t like the song choice.
Sharon prefered them doing an original.
Nicole: Dunno how to take her comment but it’s like she’s humoring the guys and the audience.
Simon: I think what you’ve done and will do is that you’re game changers.

Eliminated: Matt Linnen

No Prize Fight this week!

The X Factor UK 2017 – Live Shows Week 4 Prize Fight – Rak-Su vs Grace Davies #XFactor

Again, it’s Grace vs Rak-Su – two of the frontrunners of this series.

I loved both song. Mona Lisa by Rak-Su is pop perfection whilst Grace’s Hesitate is a dance-club hit waiting to happen!

Winner: Rak-Su

The X Factor UK 2017 – 4th Week Live Show 8 Recap – Girls and Overs Categories #XFactor

Out of all the acts who performed last night, the two acts who got the lowest number of votes were the weakest performances wise.

Rai-Elle’s performance of Mr. Big Stuff was well-received enough by the judges; said it was her beat vocal performance but people need to vote for her!

Kevin took on a big risk with this Song and I thought he did pretty well here. The consensus is that it was great but it wasn’t his best performance to date. Oh, and he’s real and a very nice person too.

Matt is my biggest spoiler for the title. I mean, he’s already in my top 3 since the very beginning but his performance of Alicia Keys’ most iconic song is just up there.

The judges thought that vocally, this was his best performance yet. And he’s awfully charming as well.

This was just painful to watch and what’s even more painful is Louis pointing out the obvious. Ugh. Poor Holly.

Grace Davies singing an original is always a joy to watch! I’ve to agree with Sharon – this was a fantastic song (called ‘Hesitate’) and it was nice seeing Grace in her element and enjoying herself onstage.

Eliminated: Rai-Elle and Holly

The X Factor UK 2017 – 4th Week Live Show 7 Recap – Groups & Boys Categories #XFactor

The theme this week is Crazy in Love so it’s clearly all about being in love and uhm, being crazy hahaha while the prize of the winning act this week is that he/she/they will get to record their own song with Ali Tamposi (who works with the likes of Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson and many more).

For the 7th live show of the series, the Boys and the Groups battled it out with two acts leaving last night. And boy was it a shocker! I mean, I expected that particular act to get the boot but the other act’s elimination was way surprising! I really thought they’re in it to win it!

Sam Black – Oops by Little Mix

He was still pitchy and he’s obviously the weakest in the competition. I don’t know what Louis was thinking when he let him sing this song! I agree with Simon, the song choice was horrible.

Simon: That’s what I call a prom cocktail. Everything that happens around you has been done by other people.
Nicole: It was the best performance you’ve ever done so far.
Sharon: I’ve never see you JUST YOU up there. Same comment as Simon.
Louis: You’re still here so obviously people like you. (NOT, ANYMORE Louis)

Sean and Conor Price – Issues by Julia Michaels
They didn’t have their guitar this week! I absolutely loved this song and I thought Conor totally killed it. I loved them and was sad that their stint was cut short. What is wrong with the Brits???

Louis loved it!
Sharon: Excellent song choice! This is where you shine!
Nicole: Conor’s voice was amazing! I still think you guys are better than that.
Simon: The competition won’t be the same without you boys. 😦

The Cutkelvins – Saved Me from Myself (Original)
We’re finally hearing the boys taking center stage! This was just an A-OK song for me! I think they really did deserved to stay with this performance.

Louis: I think this was a big risk and it totally paid off!
Sharon: A really, really, great song! It was fantatic!
Nicole: The Cutkelvins has arrived!
Simon: It tells me about who you are as people. I think it’s gonna pay off.

Lloyd Macey – From This Moment by Shania Twain.
I didn’t like this and thought this was his worst performance in the show.

Simon: You are a really good singer. This was great but it didn’t make me emotional.
Nicole: You have such a beautiful instrument.
Sharon: There’s always room for somebody like you in the industry.
Louis: You have the most amazing pure recording voice.

Rak-Su – Mona Lisa (Original)
This guys are ready to go out there! They’re so freaking good! And this original song is so freaking good!

Louis: Every week you’re bringing it!
Sharon: (drop mic) You are guys are unbelievable!
Nicole: This country has fallen in love with Rak-Su.
Simon: There is so much talent in this country and you are showing that.

Rak-Su got the highest votes making them last night’s champion!

Eliminated: Sam Black & Sean and Conor Price

Here’s what brothers Sean and Conor has to say about their stint in the show:

The X Factor UK 2017 – Live Shows Week 3 Prize Fight – Kevin Davy White vs Lloyd Macey #XFactor

Both guys gave stunning performances and it’s all up to the viewers.

Personally, Kevin’s rendition of Fastlove, Pt. 1 is just beyond but you cannot deny the vocal prowess of Lloyd in A Different Corner.

The Prize Fight winner will open for Little Mix at Manchester Arena a week from now! How freaking cool is that???!!!

The X Factor UK 2017 – Third Week Live Show 6 Recap – Girls & Boys Categories #XFactor

It’s the second night of the third week of the live shows. I’m not sure if I liked the result this week but the people have spoken so there’s that.

Alisah Bonaobra – Praying For Time
She is getting better and better each week. This heartfelt performance is perhaps her best in the live shows.

Louis said she picked the right song by singing Praying for Time saying it was indeed her time. Nicole said her voice was limitless. Simon on the other hand find it old fashion. Her coach Sharon said she connected with the song lyrically but she haven’t had her moment.

Sam Black – I’m Your Man
With this performance and him being safe this week, I’m guesing that he’ll be the next to leave. This is how you murder a song. This is CRINGY in well, obviously all caps!

Sharon: It was a bit pitchy tonight
Nicole: Agreed with Mrs.O
Simon: You’re a very nice guy. In terms of originality, there was nothing.
Louis: He did his very best! (LOL)

Grace Davies – I Can’t Make You Love Me
I didn’t like her vocals here. The strain in her voice was rather highlighted.
Louis: You are a true artist. I believe every single word.

Nicole: It’s was beautiful.
Simon: I admired you tonight. It felt sincere.
Sharon: You picked yourself up and you focused, that’s why people loved you.

Rai-Elle Williams – They Won’t Go When I Go
This is my favorite performance from Rai-Elle so far. The rawness of her voice is so magical to hear.

She got a standing ovation from the three but Louis.
Louis: You got everything going for you.
Nicole: You took us to church tonight with that performance.
Simon: You really are taking this seriously. You got a great spirit about you.
Sharon: You chose this song. You are such a brave artist.

Lloyd Macey – A Different Corner
Vocals! Vocals! Powerful vocals! Dare I say he’s much better than Sam Smith!!!

Sharon: It was just wonderful! (and Mrs. O was bawling her eyes out!)
Nicole: You got me tonight. That was the performance of the night.
Simon: That is a really difficult song to sing. This is your best performance in the live show.
Louis: You are a very special person. He agreed with Nicole.

Holly Tandy – One More Try
She looks absolutely smashing as per usual. This was her strongest vocals so far.

Louis: It was your best vocal performance yet.
Nicole: You took on a massive song! Still can’t believe Holly is 16.
Simon: You gotta become 16 years old. The whole thing was old fashion.
Sharon: Your voice was spectacular and you looked like a goddess.

Eliminated: Alisah (she was in the bottom with Sam Black)

Champion of the night: Lloyd and it’s a well deserved one!
