Taylah Roberts – Disqualified from the 2013 Australia’s Next Top Model (Cycle 8)

Taylah

Seventeen year old Taylah Roberts from Perth, Western Australia was disqualified in tonight’s episode (6th) of Australia’s Next Top Model due to violence ( physically attacking fellow contestant, Ashley Pogmore during a paintball game.) Some viewers called this an act of bullying and are in total agreement with Roberts disqualification who said in an interview in Sydney’s 2Day FM “I think that I deserved it. Everybody makes mistakes and it was unfortunate that mine was on national TV.”

You may have remember one of the most controversial incidents back in Cycle 4 when Demelza Reveley (the eventual winner) bullied her fellow contestants Alamela Rowan that led to a public backlash especially after Reveley was declared the winner of that cycle. It’s too bad that this has to happen since she’s one of the girls with the most potential! I even mentioned that with her makeover, we’d probably see her in the finale. Too bad! I’m she she’d learn something from this.

  1. It wasn’t bullying at all – it was a play fight that kept going. And people aren’t mentioning how Ashley started the play fight by throwing paint over everyone! In the case of Demelza, that was prolonged and condoned bullying of Alamela – it was disgusting and Demelza should have been kicked off the show straight away, instead she won it!! Very grateful that Vogue was disgusted and published her photos (as they were obliged to) alongside a story about bullying
