I actually liked this evening gown because it suits Ara’s styling here. It’s not that flattering on the torso but I’d say Ara carried it so well.

Now, this has got to be one of her best photos in the competition! Ariella looks stunning here and I love that our girl’s gaining momentum as the final’s fast approaching! She’s totally killing this shot! Great job Ariella!

Here’s Miss Universe-Philippines’ Janine Tugonon looking so fierce and hot in her Miss Universe glamor shot also known as her “Fadil Shot” shot by the Miss Universe Organization’s official photographer Fadil Berisha. This in my opinion is one of the best glam shots this edition! It can rival Venus Raj’s 2010 Fadil shot but we all know no one can topped Queen V. 🙂 Things are looking good for Janine based on her candid and official pictures. I’m hoping that these would translate into the prelims and the finals! Go Janine!

Miss Venezuela Universe 2011 Vanessa Goncalvez – Another Marelisa Or Not?

After the disappointing performance of Marelisa Gibson last year at the 59^th Edition of the Miss Universe, Can Vanessa redeem her country and place (and perhaps win) in this year’s pageant? After a back to back win for Venezuela in 2008 and 2009, the country failed to place into the top 15 last year, the first time since 2006 and it’s only the 23^rd time that the country failed to be part of the semi-finals. There is a very high expectation for this Venezuelan beauty who competed as Miss Miranda at last year’s Miss Venezuela for a right to represent the country in the Miss Universe. Vanessa is a dentist by profession and is considered by many to be a strong contender for this year’s crown.

Looking at the pictures below, can she crack the semifinals this year or will she be another Marelisa Gibson? ( peace out, I don’t have anything against Miss Gibson )
