Danica Magpantay Wins Ford Supermodel Of The World!

After the runner-up feat set by Charlene Almarvez in 2010, this year’s Philippine rep Danica Flores Magpantay was able to snag the Ford Supermodel Of The World Title (a first for the Philippines) held in New York City. Models from Lithuania and Poland are the runners-up with Brazil and Estonia completing the 5 Finalist.

If we recall,  Danica’s Mom, Lala Flores was a previous representative of the country who won the Crest Best Smile Award in the international competition at that time.

Danica will now be under Ford Models with a $250,000 modeling contract.

    This is a new era where Filipino women will finally be convinced that in the world, the natural look is what people want to see…the features of a real Filipino, proud of being beautiful kayumanggi. Why then do advertisers rather hire Brazillian models, or encourage Filipina young girls that the only way they can make it is to bleach their skin?
