The Binibining Pilipinas 2013 had its Press Presentation last March 18 at the grand ballroom of the Makati Shangri-la Hotel where the girls also presented their National Costume where the best one would win an award come finals night on April 14. The girls opened the presentation wearing swimsuits in different prints and proceeded with the “NatCos” presentation.
Here are my five favorite costumes from the bunch of 50 lovely ladies!
I love the traditional yet modern flare of this costume. It’s like a mix of everything else but a Filipiniana dress which is what I love most about it. She looked like a daughter of a certain Sultan! Bravo!
This Filipina-Indian goddess is looking oh-so-mighty fine wearing this Sarimanok-inspired Filipiniana! When we say ultra modern terno sleeve – Parul coined the definition!
At last year’s Miss Philippines Earth, Zandra rocked a similar national costume and eventually won the award. I can totally see her winning the same award this year for this year’s edition of the Binibining Pilipinas! The stunning “flowery” details of her terno top infused with religious symbolism are just beyond!
What I probably loved about what Imee’s wearing are the leggings! Now, that’s a cool Filipiniana dress! Color matching the 50th anniversary of the pageant, Imee carried this with ease and confidence!
This is sophistication at its best! This could even pass for an evening gown in an international pageant! I love the pearl details on the sleeves and the bodice! Matching the dress with an Imeldific hair is perfection! Plus, the lower part is a welcome twist for it gives the wearer something to play on! Aj werked this to high heavens!
